The Story Behind Aziki

Aziki Body began with a life lived between two different approaches to care.

At home, remedies often came from jars and tubes brought back from Ghana— thick ointments said to solve everything from dry skin to ringworm. They worked at times, but they were intense. The scent was so strong I’d wash it off each morning before school, embarrassed that someone would smell it on me.

In doctors’ offices, care comes in prescription tubes and carefully structured routines. Those worked too, in their own way.

I grew up moving between the two, trying to manage my eczema while learning to trust both tradition and modern medicine.

By my early teens, I had already learned what it meant to live in cycles of discomfort, adjusting routines, following doctors and elders’ advice, and desperately searching for relief.

Over time I became the friend who paid close attention to health. I exercised regularly, experimented with different diets, and followed wellness advice wherever I can find it.

Yet the more solutions I tried, the further I felt from ease.

Aziki Body grew from a simple realization:

Care should work with the body, not demand more from it.
